Our client is seeking an experienced Portfolio Manager to construct and oversee investment portfolios in line with investment mandates, taking responsibility for end-to-end portfolio management, investment decision-making and portfolio performance within a highly complex investment environment.
Requirements include (but are not limited to):
• Relevant Honours degree in Investment Management, Actuarial Science, Financial Management, BCom, BSc or a related field, with 8–10 years’ investment experience and direct portfolio management and/or investment consulting experience strongly preferred.
• Strong experience in multi-asset portfolio construction, investment portfolio management, portfolio performance monitoring and investment risk management, with the ability to make discretionary investment decisions and ensure adherence to investment mandates.
• CFA designation and Regulatory Exam 5 are preferred, with strong analytical, investment research and communication capabilities.
• Proven stakeholder and client relationship management experience, with the ability to provide authoritative investment guidance, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and manage relationships with asset managers and investee companies.
• Strong business acumen, leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to lead and develop investment analysts, influence stakeholders, drive innovation and change, and contribute to the implementation of the Outcomes Based Investment philosophy.
