Our client, an established software provider within the financial services sector, is seeking an experienced Product Owner to bridge the gap between business needs and technical delivery. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven professional who enjoys working closely with clients, stakeholders, and development teams to deliver practical, high-value software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
• Engage with clients and stakeholders to understand business processes and identify improvement opportunities.
• Translate business requirements into detailed specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Own and prioritise the product backlog based on business value and delivery objectives.
• Collaborate closely with developers to ensure clear understanding of requirements.
• Drive delivery by managing priorities, removing blockers, and maintaining momentum.
• Provide stakeholders with regular updates on progress, priorities, and project outcomes.
• Support testing, solution validation, and release readiness.
• Assist clients with post-release queries, enhancements, and defect resolution.
Minimum Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Mathematics (Core) completed at school level.
• 5–8 years’ experience in Business Analysis, Product Ownership, Backlog Management, or Software Delivery.
• Experience working within the financial services industry is highly advantageous.
• Strong understanding of Agile or iterative software delivery methodologies.
• Experience using Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar project management tools is advantageous.
• SQL exposure and relevant Product, Business Analysis, or Project Management certifications will be beneficial.
